OUR INSPIRATION
Coffee’s 300-year history makes it an irreplaceable part of Americans’ day-to-day life. Tea has been brewing in the Chinese culture for 5000 years; however, the busy urban life makes it difficult for young people to slow down and take a sip of the tea. Silicon Valley is the world’s tech center, the playground of entrepreneurs, but it is also one of the busiest places in the world. GWA GWA TEA hopes to become the force that pushes Chinese tea to the world and bring the tea culture from the East to the West through innovation, changing the complex tea rituals to simple processes while building the express tea culture.
BRAND PURPOSE
GWA GWA TEA uses premium tea leaves as the main ingredient, focusing on using unprocessed material to present each ingredient’s original flavor. In the process of turning natural ingredients to our product, we see ourselves as a facilitator. Our thick but smooth flavors come from quality tea leaves, fresh organic produce, pure sugar, and a transparent operation. Along with our minimalist storefront, GWAGWA TEA wants to create a lifestyle that allows people to find inner peace and quietness in a fast-paced chaos.
OUR STORY
In 2017, Sadie, a baking enthusiast, and Dan, a tea-drinking enthusiast hit it off and started their innovation of tea drinks. Time after time, Sadie’s tea drinks keep conquering Dan’s picky taste buds. We wanted to share our fresh tea as well as our pursue of delicacy and understanding of tea culture. In the meantime, Sadie, with a designer background, eagers to build the concept of aesthetics into drinks and the environment, creating the Starbucks of tea drinks.
In 2018, the frog “GwaGwa” and the chicken “Cheetos” was born in inspiration of Sadie and Dan. Spring, the season of various fresh and sweet fruits, we take the cleaver combination of tea and fruits to Silicon Valley elites from Facebook and Google, BMW workers in the heart of San Francisco, and the emerging force of AAU students. Positive feedbacks flood in from people of different ages, occupations, and cultural backgrounds.
In 2019, we plan to create our first store front in TANFORAN to deliver GWA GWA TEA’s delicious tea drinks to all tea enthusiasts around the Bay Area, voice our branding inspirations, and build the festive interconnection between deliciousness and aesthetics.
